The clash of cultures is a rich subject for movies, especially for (romantic) comedy. The list is endless, but a few well-known examples are the classic "In the Heat of the Night" (1967) and more recently "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" in 2002 - which is released a sequel in 2016. A recent example is from their own country "Only decent people" in 2012, based on the novel by Robert Vuijsje. In our southern neighbors has filmmaker Kadir Balci (yet) his entire oeuvre built around the clash between cultures. Balci knows Flemish Turk as no other obstacles against which you may incur when you grow up between two cultures and adapts many of his own experiences in his films. He debuted in 2010 with 'Turquaze "about the love between a Turkish boy and a Flemish girl and whether they love they feel for each other or could not disclose. In his second film, 'Marry me' (2014), the protagonists hit those first awkward stage just about; After just four months, decide Jurgen (Dries Sutter) and Sibel (Sirid Zahed) already married?
Jurgen and Sibel know each other from their work; they both give lessons at the same school and the butterflies soon jump over. Their love is so strong that they want to soon seal a marriage.
